Parent & Coach FAQs – Youth Pitching Development Program

We know parents want the best for their young athletes—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Here’s how we support long-term growth.

Will my son be throwing too hard too early?

No. We build from the ground up:

  • Focus on mechanics, rhythm, and body control
  • Age-appropriate velocity guidelines
  • Proper warm-up and recovery habits
    Velocity work is earned—not rushed.

No problem. Our training helps all throwing athletes:

  • Catchers (arm strength, footwork, pop time)
  • Infielders (quick release, accuracy)
  • Outfielders (carry, arm path efficiency)
We build healthy arms and efficient throws for every position.

Yes, when athletes are ready:

  • Changeups: around ages 9–10
  • Breaking balls: no earlier than 11–12
We focus on safe patterns and long-term health—not spin tricks.
  • Quarterly Progress Reports (mechanical, physical, mental grades + coach notes)
  • Parent/player check-ins to set goals, answer questions, and stay aligned
  • Daily system: Recovery, Low, Moderate, or High intent
  • Players learn to listen to their body and self-monitor
  • Workload tracked by observation and tools
  • Built-in rest, recovery, and post-throw routines

We go beyond quick fixes to create real, in-game results:

  • Track development over time—not just during a single session
  • Teach athletes how to train with purpose so improvements carry into games
  • Blend skill work, physical development, and mental training for complete growth
  • Build habits that hold up under game pressure, not just practice drills
